Text George ("we," "us," or "our") is a product of HelpMe, Inc., based in San Francisco, California. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our text-based concierge service at textgeorge.com.

We use your information solely to operate the service: to understand your request, to find and contact local service providers on your behalf, to pass a provider the details they need to help you, and to send you transactional updates about your request. We also use aggregate, non-identifying site statistics to understand where our visitors come from and improve the product.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Text George is an automated service. "George" is an AI assistant, not a human agent. Your messages are processed by third-party large language models to understand your request, draft replies, plan searches, and summarize outcomes. Providers are contacted by an automated voice agent that identifies itself as an AI at the start of every call, and by automated text messages.
No automated decision is made about you that has a legal or similarly significant effect. A human at HelpMe, Inc. can review any conversation, and you can always reach a person at support@textgeorge.com.
To arrange help for you, we place outbound telephone calls to service providers using an automated voice agent. These calls are recorded and transcribed so that we can determine whether the provider accepted the job, capture the contact details they give us, and keep a record of what was agreed. At the start of every call our voice agent states that it is an AI agent and that the line is recorded, and if the provider does not want to be recorded we end the call and follow up in writing instead. Recordings and transcripts are retained only as described below, and are never sold or used for marketing.
If we share your name, phone number, or the address of the job with a provider, we do so only because you asked us to arrange help and only to the extent the provider needs it to contact you and do the work.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to provide the Text George service. We may share your contact information with a service provider you have asked us to connect you with, and only as needed to fulfill your request.
By texting Text George, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to your request. Message frequency varies depending on your activity, typically a handful of messages per request (intake, status updates, and provider details). Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further messages. Reply HELP for help. After you opt out, you may text us again at any time to re-subscribe and start a new request.
We share information only with the service providers that make Text George work, each of which handles it on our behalf and under contract:
We also share information with a service provider you have asked us to contact, as described above. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of any person. If we are ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction, and this policy will continue to apply to it.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics tags, or cross-site trackers. Our site statistics are first-party and are collected on our own servers from the request itself, as described above.
We retain conversation and request data for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and then delete or de-identify it. Call recordings and transcripts are kept for a shorter period, only as long as needed to confirm what a provider agreed to. Aggregate site statistics are kept indefinitely in non-identifying form. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to export it, by emailing support@textgeorge.com. We will verify your request using the phone number you texted us from and will respond within the time the law allows. We will not deny you service or charge you differently for exercising these rights.
California residents. Depending on the volume of our business, the California Consumer Privacy Act may apply to us. Where it does, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request correction or deletion, to request a portable copy, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring an opt-out. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Text George is not directed to children. It is intended for adults 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Text George is offered in the United States and our systems are operated in the United States. We do not currently market the service outside the United States.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page, and continued use of the service after that constitutes acceptance.
